John A. Biever, MD

JOHN A. BIEVER, MD, DFAPA
Diplomate, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Child and General Psychiatry

Dr. Biever is board certified in adult, child and adolescent psychatry with a private practice at Quittie Glen located in Annville, Pennsylvania. He is a consultant to the Pennsylvania Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and a lecturer for the Central Pennsylvania Institute for Mental Health.

He uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to helping patients, including insight oriented and supportive psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, and medication withing an approach that takes into consideration the biological, psychological, social, family and spiritual dimensions of the person.

Joseph E. Dreiss, Ph.D.

JOSEPH E. DREISS, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Dreiss is a psychologist with a therapy practice working with children, adults and families in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for over 20 years. He completed a masters degree in Developmental psychology at Columbia University and reeived his doctorate in clinical psychology from Duquesne University. Trained in psychodynamic and humanistic/existential psychotherapy. Dr. Dreiss has found famiy systems theory and its application in family of origin work to have significant clinical and personal benefits in the development of helping professionals.

Charles P. Gilbert, II, ACSW

CHARLES P. GILBERT, II, ACSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Mr. Gilbert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 35 years of experience working with patients, families and groups. He received his masters degree in Social Work from the Marywood University in 1973 and has previously worked a the Wernersville State Hospital. He has 22 years of experience on the faculty of the Penn State College of Medicine as Instructor of Psychiatry and Supervisor and coordinator of the Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. Mr. Gilbert continues to work with patients and families as a Clinical Psychiatric Specialist at the Hershey Medical Center and has a private practice at Quittie Glen in Annville, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Douglas A. Ockrymiek
DOUGLAS A. OCKRYMIEK, DO, FAPA, FAAFP

Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry
Dr. Ockrymiek is an adult and geriatric psychiatrist with a private practice at Quittie Glen in Annville, Pennsylvania. Prior to completing his psyhiatric training, he was a family physician and was Clinical Assistnat Professor of Family Medicine at New Jersey College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Ockrymiek is board certified in Family Medicine and Adult Geriatric Psychiatry. He is a Distrnguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. George R. Simms

GEORGE R. SIMMS, MD

Dr. Simms is Professor Emeritus of Family and Community Medicine at Penn State University College of Medicine and was a family physician for thirty-nine years and Medical Director of Pinnacle Health Hospice for ten years. In addition to his doctorate in medicine from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, he earned a Ph.D. in Human Behavior from the United States International University where he studied under Viktor Frankl, a Master's degree in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, and a fellowship in Medical Ethics from Harvard University. He has a special interest in the moral dimensions of medical decision making and the integration of the biological, psychological and spiritual aspects of aging.
